Turn your idea into working software, without learning to code.

Free skills for the AI assistant you already use. Describe your idea in your own words, in your own language.

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/stoicsoft/idea-to-launch/main/install.sh | bash

Then restart your AI tool and say: I want to build an app for my business. Can you help?

New chat
You:

I run a small nail salon. My regulars book by messaging me and I lose track. Can you make something for that?

Assistant:

Yes. A few quick questions first, so we build the right thing.

1. Who books most often?

  • a) Regulars who already know you Recommended
  • b) New customers finding you online
  • c) Both, about the same

Why I’m asking: regulars want to rebook fast; new customers need prices and photos first.

Works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and 15 more tools.

A few rounds later, you have:

  • A one-page brief of your idea, in your words

A booking page where Mai’s regulars pick a free time without messaging her

  • A plan you approve before anything is built

What each person can do, on one page, in plain words.

  • A look you chose from three options

    Then one consistent style everywhere.

  • A working app you can open and try

With believable sample content, in your customers’ language.

  • An honest check, on a phone

    From a senior engineer’s and a first-time customer’s point of view.

  • Step-by-step help to go live on your own address

Nothing goes online, costs money or touches real customers without your clear “yes”.

From idea to launch, one step at a time

Just say what you want. Your assistant picks the right step and saves its work as simple pages in a product/ folder.

  1. Idea app-idea

A short interview about who it’s for and the smallest useful version.

    brief.mdpeople.md

  2. Plan app-plan

What each person can do, a one-page spec, and a plan you approve.

    stories.mdspec.mdplan.md

  3. Look app-design

Three looks to choose from, then one consistent style.

    design.md

  4. Build app-build

Built step by step, in the order you’ll see it working.

    progress.md

  5. Check app-review

Checked like an engineer and like a first-time customer.

    reviews/

  6. Go live app-launch

Online safely, with your approval at every one-way step.

    launch.md

Anytime, in between

Three helpers you can call at any point. You never have to call these by name. Just say what you want.

  • app-changeMake the button green
  • app-fixIt shows an error when I…
  • app-builderThe front door. It picks the right step and resumes where you left off.

A few ideas it keeps, whichever step you’re on

They are what make the questions short and the results honest.

  • One-way and two-way doors

Reversible choices are made for you, so you are not asked about everything. Anything you can’t easily undo always waits for your explicit answer.

Two-way doors — decided for you
    • Wording and colours
    • The order of screens
    • Anything you can change back later
One-way doors — wait for your “yes”
    • Your data and who can see it
    • Money, payments and buying anything
    • Emailing real customers
    • Going live
  • People, not categories

The interview pushes once for someone you could message today, not “small-business owners”.

  • The smallest useful version

If only one part worked next week, which part would someone use? That part gets built first.

  • Verify, then claim

Nothing is called working or live until it has actually been tried.

  • Test mode first

Email, payments and file storage work locally with no accounts, so you can try everything before signing up for anything.

## Where we are
The plan is approved and the look is chosen.
The booking page works; the owner’s list is next.

## Next step
Build Mai’s list of today’s and upcoming bookings (plan step 2).

## Waiting on you
Nothing right now.

Your project remembers where you left off

Everything important is saved as simple pages in a product/ folder: the brief, the plan, the look, decisions, check results and the next step.

Close the chat, come back next week, or switch from Claude to Codex, and it continues where you left off. The pages are plain text, so you can read them too.

It speaks your language, and your customers’

The assistant talks to you in whatever language you write in. The app speaks your customers’ language, or several. Code stays in English, so any developer can take over.

Questions before you start

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe what you want and answer a few questions. Technical words are explained the first time.

Which AI tool should I use?

To build a real app, one that works with files on your computer: Claude Code (or the Code tab in Claude Desktop), Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI or GitHub Copilot. Chat-only apps can still shape the idea, plan it, choose a look and make a clickable prototype.

Does it cost anything?

The skills are free (MIT). Your AI tool’s usual plan applies. Hosting usually costs a few dollars a month, and a .com address about $10–15 a year. It tells you before anything costs money.

Can it build any app?

It is best at web apps people use on phones or computers: booking pages, order forms, sign-ups, internal tools, simple shops, dashboards and landing pages.

Will it put something online or charge my card without asking?

No. Going online, buying anything, emailing real customers, payments, deleting data and changing who can see what always wait for your explicit “yes”.

Can I switch between Claude, Codex and Cursor?

Yes. Open the same folder in the other tool and say “Let’s continue”.

Can a developer take over later?

Yes. Standard, readable code in English, with tests and a README.

Does it send my data anywhere?

No. The skills are plain text. They don’t run in the background, collect data or call any server.

What happened to 1FounderTool?

Its method now lives here as open skills that work in the AI tool you already use. The last desktop release stays available on GitHub.

Your idea, live. In your words.
